Absolute Staffers LLC is seeking a skilled and reliable Phlebotomist to join our team for placement at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Danbury in Danbury, CT. • Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Phlebotomy Services, professional in nature, in a method commensurate with the local community and in accordance with JC standards and BOP policy.
• Maintenance of a waiting list, daily maintenance of laboratory equipment, including advising the COR when equipment requires professional maintenance or repair.
• Biological specimen collection, preparation and packaging for shipment to the BPA laboratories.
• Maintenance of laboratory logs and other records as necessary for complying with CLIA guidelines.
• Inform COR of all information pertaining to the services rendered, i.e., specimen(s) obtained, and reporting any problems arising in regards to laboratory services to the COR or his designee.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical, hospital, or correctional facility setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved a 12-week Lab Technician training program.
• Active Phlebotomist Registration/Certification in the state of Connecticut.
• CPR Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• Ability to pass a comprehensive federal background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.

Schedule & Benefits

• Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, excluding Federal Holidays, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., including a 30-minute non-paid lunch.
