All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of Dental Hygienist, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Joint Commission (JC) and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions. 

Pay Rate - $45.18/hr (Base Pay $39.75/hr + H&W $5.43/hr) 

Shift Timings - 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM 

The contractor shall provide the following Dental Hygienist services, which includes, but are not limited to, the items listed below

• Provide scaling and root planning (SRP) procedures, periodontal maintenance, and/or prophylaxis as indicated on the adults in custody who are referred by the dental staff. 

• Perform comprehensive periodontal charting, probing, and documentation. 

• Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions for each patient. 

• Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal condition on each patient seen for dental prophylaxis. 

• Complete necessary dental x-rays as specified by the dentist. 

• Sterilize instruments used for prophylaxis and other instruments as specified by the dental staff. 

• Perform necessary paperwork related to scheduling patients for dental prophylaxis as directed by the dental staff. 

• Administer local anesthesia as needed
